I haven’t seen my friend, Gracie, in a few weeks,
but we have been thinking to visit each other as
soon as possible. Sure enough, she was coming to
Miami for an art show presented by DIAMONDS
UNLEASHED at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, and
invited me. I was one of the three guys who
showed up, and the other two gentlemen were the
sponsors. I guess I was the only guy that wasn’t
connected to the show. The show was very
interesting with all the art painted on dresses
presented by Kara Ross. The interesting part is I
walked and trained in Qi Gong with her
brother-in-law, and we have been training together
for years. I had no idea she was hosting the show
and making a difference in women’s lives all over
the planet.
When you look at the adjectives that
pertain to a diamond beautiful, strong,
multi-faceted, unbreakable and brilliant you see
that they also represent women. They are taking
the symbol of a diamond and having it represent
women’s strength. Their goal is to have women
think of themselves as diamonds. The DIAMONDS
UNLEASHED brand is currently working on
collaborations in children’s wear created by women
in South Africa, ready-to-wear and leisure wear.
In just nine months, the brand has garnered over
five million plus organic-earned media
impressions.
I believe there are no coincidences only meant to
bees. I trained in the morning with a friend I
consider family, met another close friend for
lunch, and reconnected with a family member I
never met. The common thread here is the training.
People of like minds connect and come together to
make our planet a better place.
